Webinar Description

"Easy Ego State Interventions: How to Effectively Use Parts Work" is a two-day, post-doctoral-level continuing education workshop designed to equip clinicians with practical skills in ego state therapy and EMDR. This workshop will focus on helping therapists identify and work with clients’ functional and dysfunctional ego states, facilitating trauma resolution, and addressing complex psychological issues such as dissociation, personality disorders, and attachment trauma.

Participants will explore how ego state therapy can be applied to treat a wide range of clinical challenges, including trauma, dissociative identity disorder (DID), personality disorders, and chronic pain. The workshop integrates Stephen Porges’s Polyvagal Theory to enhance understanding of vagal states and body responses in trauma. Clinicians will learn advanced interventions such as the Two-Hand Interweave technique, the Theory of Structural Dissociation, and specialized tools like the Dissociative Table and Imaginal Nurturing protocol.

Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, guided experiences, role-plays, and case studies, participants will gain practical tools to integrate ego-state interventions into their therapeutic work. Key areas include working with survivors of sexual abuse to create healthy relationships, healing attachment wounds, managing personality disorders as dissociative phenomena, and using ego-state therapy and EMDR to address overactive immune responses and chronic pain.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to effectively diagnose, treat, and work with clients experiencing dissociation, personality disorders, and complex trauma while also enhancing their capacity for self-care when treating these challenging populations.
