Webinar Description

Men, in general, are not doing well. Men are at significantly greater risk of early mortality, suicide, addiction, and incarceration. Accordingly, there is a resurgence of interest in studying men and masculinity.

In 2018, the American Psychological Association developed Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Boys and Men to help therapists understand the socially constructed nature of masculinity and how those socially constructed gender roles affect men and therapists. This workshop will address some of the ethical issues involved in providing gender-sensitive care for men and their intimate relationships.
