New Strategies for Working with Veterans is a course designed to increase a caseworker's capacity to effectively engage veterans to assist them in meeting their day to day needs as well as increasing their participation in outpatient mental health services if and when necessary. Instructing will be centered around strengths-based case management, motivational interviewing in the assessment process, developing short-term case plans. Time will allowed for breaks and Q&A.

About the Presenter:
Chauncey is a LMSW with 22 years of experience in social services in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Chauncey has experience in community social work (Missouri), child welfare (Kansas and Missouri), school social work (Missouri), corrections (Missouri), and hospital social work (Kansas and Missouri).
